Default Streaming Blu-Ray to the PS3

I am new to the site so I can't post in the other sections so I figured I would post here and see if anyone could help. I just recently bought a Samsung BD-P1400 and a Sony SXRD KDS-60A3000 Rear projection TV. I didn’t like how long it took to load the movies so I took it back and bought a PS3. I love the functionality of the PS3 and saw the “access media server” section. I would like to build a media server and load all of my DVD’s, Blu-Ray’s and CD’s on it to access through the PS3. I do not want to shrink the Blu-Ray or DVD movies, I want to transfer them so they are exactly the same size. I am paying for great quality so I do not want to degrade the quality by shrinking the size. I have seen on this forum that people have set up media servers but I haven’t I have a few questions.

1.Has anyone here streamed a full Blu-ray file from a server to the PS3?

2.I understand that I will need a good router and I have an router with gigabit ports and will network the PS3 CAT6 wire. Will I run into problems with this setup?

3.Are the Blu-ray movies too large for this type of setup?

Thank you in advance for any advice you can provide!
