Does anyone know if Universal is planning on releasing The Office Season 4 day and date with the DVD release on September 2nd or is no blu-ray planned?

I wish, the show looks great broadcast in HD, so I can only imagine how good a blu set would look.

Unfortunately, no word yet.

I'd be very surprised if they released it on blu at that time.

Yeah, Universal is working on catalog and new releases, don't think they've got any tv plans. Plus, I don't know if any half-hour sitcom have been released on blu other than Weeds, sitcoms traditionally aren't huge sellers. Still, I'd buy every season of the Office in a heartbeat on blu.

one reason i can think of why it wont happen anytime soon is because Universal is even more behind on Blu-ray then Paramount due to Universal only supporting Hd-dvd from the very beginning and right now they are just making up for lost times

I haven't bought any TV series in Blu-Ray. I'm going to get HEROES Season 2, though. I already have season 1 on standard DVD.

They are releasing Heroes Seasons 1 & 2 on Aug. 26. But, as for The Office, it's unlikely you'll see anything until after this next season.

The DVD's look pretty fantastic for DVD's so I would assume a Blu-ray release would be amazing as well.
