Samsung BD-H6500 Smart Hub

In general I don't know much about how the "Smart Hub" works. Would I be able to download/stream movies and shows from certain apps directly from the Blu-ray player itself via the wireless Wi-Fi? If so what apps would allow me to do this here in Austarila? and how does the payment for such services work? Also would the said movies/shows that you buy via downloading/streaming in the Smart Hub play in 5.1 surround sound if the Blu-Ray player is connected to my home theater system?

I am thinking about buying this Blu-Ray player to replace my old Soniq QPB301B. In terms of its performance which to me is easily the most important thing, do you guys think its a good player and good value for money? I am only looking to spend 100 to $150 on a new player.
