Sounds pretty interesting, apparently caused some controversy at Sundance.
From what I can gather it seems to be in the same vein as 'I Spit on Your Grave', in terms of the violence.

i thought this was a really good movie

£10.99 aint a bad price to be honest but as im in no rush for it I will wait until it hits £6 or so.

Amazon.uk lists the title as Region-Free

At that price, I went ahead and pre-ordered. Been looking forward to this movie for awhile now. I just hope this release is uncut.

Saw this at FrightFest and can assure everyone it's a safe blind buy.

I wouldn't call it in the same vein as 'I Spit on your Grave', just because of 1 idiot at Sundance. It is a lot better directed and not as exploitative in tone.

Fantastic flick and easily the best horror movie of the year (Scream 4 is a close second). I saw it at the Mile High Horror Fest in Denver and, save for a few minor flaws (The pervasive indie-pop soundtrack and the distractingly sexy teacher), blew me away with its thought-provoking brutality and its dark humor, all as a satire of common Americana values. I highly recommend it to fans of of Lucky's work, as well as horror buffs in general.

Btw, the news of its region free status just made my day; An instant pre-order! Now I need to find out about the region coding of the french release of "The Loved Ones" for which has been only rivaled in recent horror by this, [REC], and Martyrs.

Does this have a lossless soundtrack ?

Probably pick this up as i love a decent horror flick rather than the usual tosh they keep putting out, plus this has been having some really good write-ups.

Anyone know if this edition is uncut or not? Also, I'm hard of hearing, does it have English subtitles?

Having just watched it, I can't say for sure if it's uncut or not. It looks like it is after watching the extras though. The gorey bits shown in the special effects part all seem to be in the film.

Unfortunately, there are no English subtitles for the movie. Hopefully the recently announced US release will have subtitles for ya.

just saw this...another fail attempt as a shocking film for me -_-" high tension,martyrs,now this....hopefully A Serbian Film does it for me

Beat me to it, was going to say the BBFC don't list any cuts.

Watched this the other night and I was seriously impressed, will definitely get the Blu.

I'm surprised about the complaints it's not disturbing enough, there are a few scenes in this movie where I could barely believe what I was seeing on screen. Psychologically this about as dark as it gets and I didn't feel let down by the splatter quota either.
