New to the Blu-ray World - Want to say hello - Blu-ray Forum

Hi Blu-Ray Forum,

I'm new to this blu-ray forum and also to the world of blu-ray. Today I'm getting the PS3 80Gbyte Version (I was told the 40Gbyte doesn't play PS2 Games which actually s..ks). I also want to use the PS3 as a music- and video streaming device.
I own a HD-DVD Player since several month (and also own several HD-DVDs) so I'm open minded to both formats (even if I would wish that both parities would had agreed to one format at the very beginning without starting a format war). Or they will agree to the "Total HD" Disc, developed by WB. Why did I choose HD-DVD at first hand?? It's because the player were more affordable and HD-DVD are region code free. So please don't kill me now

I'm little bit worried about if the quality of the PS3 as a dvd/ blu-ray player (which is a "gaming device" and more or less intend for playing games) is comparable to a standalone blu-ray player.

the PS3 is the best one out there and is worth it for gaming and watching movies u wont be dissapointed with ure purchase
