Looks like FA is getting a Limited Edition version of Heat.

Since it was a preorder, I got weekly emails updating me on the status of my order. Which is nice, considering the language barrier. Then when my lone steelbook shipped, it was in a big cude-shaped boxed, with an obscene amount of bubblewrap, and the box was wrapped in black plastic. Which, at first, caught me off guard, but I realized this is a great idea to avoid water damage during transit. My steelbook arrived in gem mint condition. Now, granted, I have not ordered from them before, so I'm not sure if they "roll out the red carpet" for first time customers....but I might get this Heat steelbook just to see what happens a 2nd time. Just my guess, but I think these far off steelbook shops know it's better to invest a little bit of money on good packaging instead of dealing with returns. |

If you are talking about the DTS-HD, then yeah this will be a real treat for the ears. I have the Japanese Universal release which is a two disc set (extras on disc 2) so if this is a single I don't know how the bitrate would be affected. Can't see it making a big difference. The sound was excellent, and I didn't do a side by side comparison (my US and UK steels are still sealed, lol) but I did have the amaray case version in True HD and this soundtrack really stood out. The shoot out was crystal clear, and throughout the film every sound had that edge to it. Not overly loud, just clear. Heh, this is why I don't do reviews...

I just received this as a non-exclusive from Novamedia. Can someone please add it to the database?? There are no Korean markings of any kind on the steel or the J-card... but it does say Made in Austria. Is the one I'm holding from the same batch as the numbered ones from Film Arena?
EDIT: My bad... there are TINY red markings in Korean... |

On the website it says preparing. I don't see that it says sold out anywhere. Anyone preordered from them before? Anyone know how long before it's actually available? I was going to place and order through Nova media and get the non exclusive from them but on the FA site it says something like foil wrap or slip and if it's going to be numbered I'm intrigued. I may just pull the trigger on the Korean one and sell or trade it if I manage to get one of these.

As for this release, not really sure if this has exclusive numbering to it. That would certainly garner my interest, that's for sure. ![]() |
