I didn't see a thread for this, but Italy released a line of Warner steelbooks last month. They advertise it as a Steel Box, with Augmented Reality. Not sure what the AR part is a bout. This 300 one looks pretty awesome to me, best design I've personally seen for the movie. For anyone wondering, the banner at the top will not be on the actual SB.

I got this a couple of weeks ago from a guy on ebay. For the price it was so worth it, an awesome steel, the back and inside art are fantastic, and IMO is so much better than the UK Premium Collection steelbook all round. For anyone interested the banner on the top is part of the j-card and there is no Italian text on the steel.

Thanks for the info! I have a 300 digibook, but I really want this one.

Yeah I don't know what the augmented reality thing is, I don't remember there being any mention of it on the backing card or on the sticker on the front but I wasn't paying much attention, and it was all Italian anyway.

Will definitely be picking this up this week, at that price it would be a sin not to.

EDIT : on the Italian amazon website, certain items are described as ' steelbox ' while other items are described a 'steelbook ' are the sizes of theses steels the same please ?

This arrived today, along with: Troy, I Am Legend, Inception & Clash of the Titans. They all look great except for 300 which, due to the all 5 steelbooks jammed into a tight box, with no padding at all. Well for about less that $16ea/shipped, I guess I can't complain too much!

So I was fumbling my way around Amazon Italy looking at these steels and noticed that they have a sale going on right now where if you spend 39 euros you get an extra 30% on qualifying movies. Goonies, 300, Inception and Troy steelbooks are all part of this deal. This would be a triple or quadruple dip for me so I could not spend the $65 my order was coming out to. But maybe someone else here will want them.

Does anyone know if this will play on region A players? I can't seem to find any confirmation. The Germany version appears to work from what I've read.

Yes. All Warner titles are region free

Can anyone that got this tell me whether the front is glossy or matt? Does it have any embossing?
