The censored version runs the same length as the uncensored one. They just blanked out the sections they were ordered to remove. Of course I hope this is the uncensored version, not simply for integrity's sake but because using the censored version would probably mean an HD master from 2005.

Preorders up, but I'm not sure if I'm going to upgrade my TWF DVD....mind you, the PQ could need an update, but there are so much other titles I want coming out...

As someone ignorant of all this terminology ("fullslip," "Scanovo keepcase"), are Nova and Kimchi selling the same edition? I'm guessing so, since they're using the same product photo and neither is billing their version as "exclusive," but I just want to check.

I've noticed a lot of new jargon lately too. They are the same edition. "Scanovo" I think is the BD keep case manufacturer. I didn't know what that was until I received one and saw what they were... a better quality plastic keepcase. "Fullslip" usually refers to a full slipcover box over the inside contents (usually cardboard or plastic in some cases) that is open on one side, sometimes also called an "out case"... and there are regular slip covers which are open at both ends, and 1/4 slip which is a regular slip that only covers the bottom quarter of the keep case (could be a full back or just a band around the bottom 1/4). Anyway, that is my take... but then it took me a long time to figure out what "one click" meant... so I'm a bit slow at picking up new jargon.

I received the disc last week and was pleasantly surprised at the PQ.

As I mentioned in another thread here, none of the extras are subbed and the same errors found in the DVD subs are unchanged on this disc. Annoying but liveable.

The film, however, is brilliant. I never tire of this and the soundtrack is marvelous.
Particularly was impressed watching the uncut ending (newsreel footage) for the first time. (I stayed away from Third Window's DVD release as it apparently had NTSC-PAL conversion issues)

Edit: We watched it. Not sure what to think of it yet. Wasn't a bad movie.
I just don't think I understood some of the humor and political references.
Excellent cast and good acting. PQ was phenomenal.
Some beautiful Korean women throughout the movie.
The actress that played the guitar and sang was exceptional. I always appreciate it when someone is actually playing an instrument and singing. Nothing worse than watching someone hold the wrong chords and fake singing.
She was a pleasure to watch perform. Beautiful guitar playing and voice.

I think I would need to watch this again to fully appreciate the story.
