Funai is currently using the Philips, Magnavox and Sanyo
brand names (in the USA). Over the past about 15 years, I've purchased several Funai DVD(Philips,Magnavox,Sanyo,SV2000), Blu-ray(Magnavox) and UHD Blu-ray(Magnavox) players, nearly all of them have been reliable (no picture freezing etc.) although most of the DVD players won't pass thru DTS audio. The only problem is with the Sanyo DVD player, on home recorded DVDs in >2 hour modes, the picture isn't smooth, it seems like the Sanyo player isn't assembling the MPEG information in the proper sequence. Walmart stocks Samsung, Sony and Sanyo players and with Samsung leaving the market... What are your experiences with Funai players? Kirk Bayne Last edited by kfbkfb; 03-04-2019 at 07:47 PM. |
