This is excellent news.

One of my art house theaters claims that they'll be getting this, but they've said the same thing since November...I'd rather wait an extra month to blind buy this then to waste my time searching every day.

A Separation was absolutely phenomenal, so I'm really looking forward to this.

Oh wow! Excellent news indeed. I hated that I missed this in theaters not that it ever got a large release or played in theaters long. I thought SPC would make us wait till August like they did with Amour and A Separation, so this is great to hear.

Are you talking about the Avon? I was there the other day to see Inside Llewyn Davis and they played the trailer for The Past as part of the coming attractions.

Both Avon and Jane Pickens have had it listed for quite a while but nothing after several months.

Just finished this...wow! What a phenomenal follow up to "A Separation".

Farhadi is the kind of writer and director where every single word spoken on screen is incredibly powerful, shocking, and revealing. No film other than the two I've seen from him has made me say, "OMG" out loud...not just once...but many, many times.

EXCELLENT!

It's not quite amazing like A Separation, but I really liked it. That said, I can't see myself watching it again more than once, so I'll wait and pick it up cheap if it ever goes on sale. I have yet to find A Separation cheap, and that actually is a film I'd rewatch.

Default The Past (2013) Asghar Farhadi

Considering this Sony disc is out-of-circulation, does anyone have any idea how the uk Artificial Eye release stacks up to the Sony disc? How is the transfer? Is it a bd-50? Are the subtitles removable? What features does it have? Would love to get a hold of this film, and although it seems the Sony disc is still available from Amazon Canada, the Uk disc may be slightly cheaper. Any thoughts?

Bumping my post. Does anybody know? Sony version is still OOP and difficult to find for a reasonable price, but is somehow still available from Amazon.ca, though unfortunately they weirdly no longer ship to the US for the past few years (similar to Amazon.au).
