Just received this Ltd ed, limited to just 1000 copies. Gave it a quick look and it looks very similar to the free online version Vinegar Syndrome put out.

Lots of print damage etc..but for €12 it's well worth it.

Will give it a proper viewing tonight.

Thanks for the posting, I wasn't aware of this release. Where can it be purchased? I didn't see a listing on either Amazon.de or Diabolik.

Edit: Never mind, I found it on Amazon.de under Blutnacht. I enjoyed the one viewing of the VS download, so I'm in for a copy (at a very reasonable price, unlike the Anolis disc of The Tingler that I ordered it with!).

Just finished watching it, there are green lines and specs all over it for the entire runtime. The underlying transfer is great though.

Wouldn't be surprised to see this as part of Arrow's AHP Vol 2 next year or see VS put it out after giving it a clean up.

It's cheap and very limited at the moment so I'd say grab it, it's a great protoslasher with some nice atmosphere.

Hope to see another label do this justice soon but this will do for now

Pretty sure MGM have original materials for this but there is a copyright issue or a lack of home video rights.

Was actually going to order my copy today, and now it's sold out at Amazon. Still available at a few other retailers, but then *they* don't have the other release in stock I also want to order.

Yes, I surfed by amazon.de on random chance yesterday and saw it, too. immediately made on order of that and the LE of Mill of the Stone Women (which seems to be sold out everywhere else).

My copy arrived yesterday. PQ is rough at first but improves as the film progresses. It's still not a great-looking film but I think the improvement over the DVD is well worth it.

Bought it long before Ryan posted. But I'll be happy to double-dip if VS should decide to release it anyway.

The DL was never available to me, as a Dane, and Code Red's old DVD is almost impossible to get (as usual), so while I really don't like to support bootleggers, I think I'll just hold on to it for now.

There seems to be a a fair share of boots coming out of Germany (though not as many as from Spain)? XT Video is one of the labels I have heard mentioned in connection with bootlegs more than once.

XT Video and NSM are not German companies, they are from Austria.
But, yeah, we have also some Bootleggers here in Germany.

Gave this my annual viewing tonight; I love this film and rank it up there with the original Black Christmas. I'd love to see Vinegar Syndrome do a proper physical release on Blu-ray. I have the Code Red DVD (a double feature with Invasion of the Blood Farmers), and the print is excellent—but I'd still like a new Blu-ray.
