Helldriver Blu-ray Review

Well Go USA presents Helldriver, a Japanese splatter film directed by Yoshihiro Nishimura (Tokyo Gore Police). It stars Yumiko Hara and Eihi Shiina, and was written by Nishimura and Daichi Nagisa. Link to the trailer here.

I've seen this flick. It's truly outrageous, just keeps going on and on and on with the absurdity. I'll probably be getting this disc.

The trailer for Helldriver is cool. If it's anything like Tokyo Gore Police, then it should be Awesome!

Liked TGP, but hopefully the BD is not equally bad in the PQ though..

Right! TGP had so so BD quality

. Helldriver was made by a different studio, so it should be a decent or good transfer

. Hope that its 1080p and not 1080i. Alien vs. Ninja (Sushi Typhoon) was 1080i, but it was okay. TGP was released by Tokyo Shock and Hell D is coming out via Sushi Typhoon.

Looks good, more along the lines of Vampire Girl vs. Frankenstein Girl. I just really dislike the video look of these new generation absurdist splatter films from Japan.

Same studios Samurai Princess is region free so I guess this too just might be region free..

I could not get a the blu-ray to work in my player (lg BD550)-dvd worked but not the blu-ray disc-good movie if a little long, the title doesn't hit the screen until your 40-50 minutes into the movie.

I have to revive this thread. Watching it for the first time right now and this is by far the most bats**t insane movie I have ever seen in my life. I'm only half way through and I had to pause due to crying from laughter.

Sorry to resurrect such an old thread, but I just recently watched this for the first time and I must say, I loved every minute of it. So extremely gory and such cheeseball fun!

Mines says Uncut Directors Edition under the title and it's 2 minutes longer than what's listed on this site. Am I somehow special now?
