Hey everybody, I had this odd thing happen with my PS4 and wanted to see if this is a normal feature that I just wasn't aware of.
Some background: A few months ago I gave my brother my login info so he could log into Destiny as me on his PS4. He logged in with my info on his console, went and grabbed something from Xur in the tower, and then logged out. He's played on his own account ever since. He noticed the other day that a couple games I recently bought from PSN had been downloaded to his console, free of charge. The only thing we could think of is that his little dip into Destiny as me must have triggered it. I bought those games from the PS website (the mobile site, to be exact), not from my PS4. After I bought them, I hit the "Download to your PS4" button but the next time I turned on my PS4, they weren't downloading. So I went into my library to start downloading them manually. I think it thinks my PS4 is actually my brother's PS4, so when I select "Download to Your PS4" it downloads to his. He's been able to play one of the games but the other one couldn't install due to not enough HD space. Both games are also installed on my console but I haven't played them yet. Is this normal? If so, I have never heard of this feature (or exploit, as the case may be). I wouldn't think Sony would want this kind of sharing going on. Maybe it's like how sharing works with Netflix, but again I doubt it. Thoughts? |
