Nice. One of the most overdue titles on Blu-ray. Wasn't it mentioned numerous times here that Criterion was working on a restoration on this?

Hopefully better than the Studio Canal BD I have, the PQ is barely HD.

It has to be better since it must have had a 4K restoration in order for there to be a 4K release. At least, I hope so.

I've been wanting to revisit this for years. Glad it's finally happening. The gambling scene where all the wise guys keep getting put into the restroom is cinematic gold.

I'm not sure what to think about this. Technically a BD-R should be the equivalent of a pressed counterpart in terms of PQ but it's still a BD-R. It just feels cheap. Maybe Studiocanal will release it but they're slow.

It may be pressed. It's showing up at various retailers like BB, and others, who don't typically stock BD-R releases. The artwork also gives no indication of it being a BD-R (though sometimes even cases with logos are burned discs).

I'm going to say it's probably pressed, but you never know. Either way, this is a pretty major title, so doubt it's BD-R.

Looks like the 4K is up pretty much everywhere, but Blu-ray still not up on Amazon or Bullmoose from what I can tell.
