CES Announcements? - Blu-ray Forum

With CES coming up in a couple weeks (how exciting!), I wonder if the studios will announce a list of movies they'll be releasing on blu-ray. At least that way, we could know which titles not to buy on dvd. Although, personally, I haven't bought any movies on dvd in a long time, in anticipation of blu-ray. Has anyone else done this?

I've done exactly that. I have purchased exactly two DVDs movies in the past two years. Before that I had over 900 DVDs but sold nearly all of them in anticipation of Blu-ray. I fully expect a list of BD movies to be announced at CES. A list from Sony (Columbia) that is, not sure about the others but hopefully we'll see a lot of nice titles in there.

Yeah, 900 is a lot. Although, I have a friend with well over 1000 dvds. Needless to say, he couldn't care less about blu-ray or hd-dvd. My blu-ray goal will be 1000....we'll see if I can make it. Here's hoping I can start my collection with either The Matrix or Star Wars
