Hi!!!

Does anyone know if "The Grudge 3 [Blu-ray]" is being released as originally announced as HMV U.K. now have it listed as 'Unavailable'

Could they possibly have removed yet ANOTHER U.K. and Ireland Blu-ray without explanation?

Another?? I take it this has happened before?

Maybe they got their release dates wrong and pulled it down awaiting further confirmation?

Yeah, all these were pulled last minute too without reason...

"Look Who's Talking"
"Sleepless in Seattle"
"Dukes of Hazaard"
"Panic Room"
"Boogeyman 3"
"Stormbreaker"

It doesn't make sense why a studio would opt for a DVD rather than Blu edition when Blu is "the future" so to speak. Almost like taking a step back rather than forward!

I imported this a while back to get ready for The Grudge 2020, because I was going to watch the original trilogy to recap. It’s strange that this never got a US Blu-ray back in 2009, yet other straight-to-video Sony sequels like You Got Served: Beat the World and 30 Days of Night: Dark Days did. Was Sony afraid this wouldn’t sell or something?

This disc looks pretty good nevertheless, yet it sadly has very slim extras. I’m hoping that, since Sony now allows Shout Factory access to their catalog titles, Shout Factory will release 2 and 3 on Blu-ray with new extras since they never got US Blu-ray releases. While they’re at it, they can release the first one too since it appears to be out of print.

Sorry to necro this thread, but I'm curious if anyone can confirm if this Blu-ray actually has English or English SDH subtitles on it. From pics I can see online of the back of the case, I don't see any mention of subtitles anywhere. Oh, why didn't Sony ever do Blu-rays for the sequels in the U.S.? Thanks for any help!
