Default Where can I buy a Region A [REC] Blu-ray

Hi everyone, I have never seen this movie but I heard it is an incredible horror movie. I am looking to buy [Rec] and maybe [Rec2] on bluray.

Does anyone know which version I should buy?

Thanks,
Jimmy

Quarantine was a bit shaky and this is the original, so one could assume.

Shaky, but incredible movies.

The Canadian Edition is full of Special Features, you'll be impressed by this one (I was, because I'm often disapointed at the Canadian BD quality, and this one is a "no fault")

If [REC] is good as a movie, [REC] 2 add some really original and interresting twist to the genre! I can't wait for [REC] 3 and [REC] 4!

[REC]3: GENESIS tries to mix comedy with horror and ends up being not very funny, and not scary at all. It also chooses to leave the "found footage" style behind after the introduction that sets things up, and while the "video-recorded" part at the beginning is quite convincing, once it gets into traditional narration it looks surprisingly amateurish in the directing and editing departments. And I don't mean that in a fresh, early Peter Jackson way, but more like someone who simply lacks a good grasp of film craft.

If that's not disappointing enough, the story itself is nothing but an inconsequential anecdote, adding nothing to the "mythology" stablished on the first two fims.

Apparently, Jaume Balaguero is set to return for the next installment, so let's hope he gets the saga back on track.

i loved [rec] 3. the change worked (and i'd argue it was necessary). it was fun and lighthearted - very different from the first two in tone, but clearly in the same universe. i'm waiting for some reviews on the french and uk blu-rays before i import. looking forward to the fourth.

The first two are definitely great horror movies. I think the 2nd might even be superior. Haven't seen the 3rd but I haven't heard anything good about it.

I have both Rec and Rec 2 on Blu-ray. They are the Canadian Region A versions and I will sell them both for 29 dollars shipped.

Do either of them have an English dub? my Special 2 DVD version from Spain had an Ingles 5.1 dub so I am hoping the Blu-rays do to.

Thanks

I had been wondering where to get these myself... Now I have REC 1&2 on the way from Canada for less than $26.00 shipped.

Yeah, but they will save a whole dollar!

I paid more than that when released, I should have known they dropped.

Thanks for posting about this set. Just watched [Rec] 2 this past week and enjoyed it just as much as the first, so it was nice to see they're available on BD. Ordered.

I see complete 4-film sets popping up in several countries. Any chance of the US getting this set?

I doubt it, since we apparently don't even get the first one, which is the only one which is generally considered a real modern horror classic. The first sequel is pretty good, but the third is AWFUL and has been a staple on Netflix so I don't see much hope for a planned physical media release when pretty much everyone who is interested has seen it on Netflix and the first two movies don't even get a release. The fourth one is also currently relegated to MOD DVD status in this country.

Additionally, the second movie was released by a different studio than the other three in this country, so that probably gums up the works a bit.

That would be a dream. I really want the first one (heck, even the second).
