The UK disc has been out for like 6 years. Nice to see them getting to this finally.

That featured an old master... this will feature a recent 4K resto.
However, I compared the AE and the French Blu and I sadly noticed that the French studios involved in the resto have completely ****ed up the black levels, and I mean big time. So the old master is still the best at present. I very much hope Criterion did a regrading.

I was looking at the caps taken from the Criterion disc, and fortunately the transfer looks fantastic and completely different from the disaster appeared in France earlier this year. The French BD features a 2K resto made by dreadful Eclair lab in 2014, while the Criterion sports a new 4k resto (lab unknown, so far), so it's safe to say this film has been re-restored twice within five years! Wacky.

Really looking forward to this masterpiece.

Do you mean that it is available to buy now? Amazon UK are stating that it won't be released until the 14.

I love this film. So short and simple, yet so deep and moving. I have the new Criterion coming in, as well.
