Default Cinderella (2015) file size on iTunes?

I just used my Digital HD (Digital Copy Plus) code for iTunes and the file was listed as 4.06GB (1080p), but it's actually 3.79GB when I downloaded it. Can someone please confirm this? I checked the iTunes preferences to make sure Cinderella downloaded in 1080p before I entered the code. I don't know why the file size is listed as 4.06GB but only 3.79GB when downloaded.

The 3.79gb is the accurate one.

That equates to 4,060,000,000 bytes roughly.

ITunes is just screwed up on the math. They didn't calculate 1gb as 1,073,741,824 bytes. They used 1,000,000,000 bytes as being 1GB

It's not that iTunes screwed up the math, it has unfortunately become quite common to use "1,000,000,000 bytes as being 1GB" - especially in storage media, no matter how inaccurate it is historically in relationship to computers. So anything advertised as Xgb generally shows up as a smaller number when viewed with a file explorer which uses Base 2 instead of Base 10.

summarized from Wikipedia
Quote:
The term gigabyte is commonly used to mean either 1000 bytes (Base 10) or 1024 bytes (Base 2).

The new Cinderella is out already? I thought it wasn't coming out for at least a couple of months.

The DVD, Blu-Ray and Digital HD was released in Australia on June 24. I already wrote a review on the official pre-order thread. You can read it here:
