Default Iron Angels 1-3

IRON ANGELS TRILOGY IS FINALLY BEING RELEASED REGION FREE!!! I, LIKE MANY OTHERS WHO'VE SEEN IRON ANGELS 1 HAVE BEEN WAITING FOREVER FOR THESE FILMS TO BE RELEASED!!!

IRON ANGELS 1 IS EASILY IN MY TOP 5 FAVORITE ACTION FILMS DUE TO ONE SCENE FEATURING YUKARI OSHIMA VS. MOON LEE AND YUKARI OSHIMA DOES AN AXE KICK AND A STUNT DOUBLE DOES A FRONT FLIP KICK TO PUSH YUKARI AWAY!!!

YUKARI OSHIMA PLAYS THE VILLAINESS IN THIS ROLE, AND I CAN'T WAIT FOR MORE YUKARI OSHIMA AND MOON LEE MOVIES TO BE RELEASED BUT WHERE THEY TEAM UP (I'M THINKING ARROW/SHOUT WILL RELEASE ANGEL TERMINATORS 2 DUE TO THE GOLDEN PRINCESS LIBRARY PURCHASE!)

BUT MAN, I JUST LEARNED OF THIS TODAY AND FIGURED OTHERS WOULD LOVE TO KNOW ABOUT THIS TOO!!!

Product Release Info

In the world of Hong Kong action cinema, Teresa Woo doesn't have the same notoriety as many of the other big-name directors. However, unbeknownst to many, she is responsible for bringing us one of the most exhilarating action franchises, the Iron Angels series. Filled with bone-breaking brawls and bullet-riddled action set pieces, Vinegar Syndrome Archive proudly presents this inexplicably overlooked trio of explosive martial arts films for the first time on Blu-ray in the United States.

Iron Angels (aka Fighting Madam, 93 min): After drug enforcement officials destroy opium fields in Thailand, disrupting a global drug network known as the "Golden Triangle," the officers responsible for the raid are one by one targeted for assassination by the violent cartel. Unable to stop the bloodshed, the government turns towards an elite "spies-for-hire" group known as the Iron Angels. Saijo, the legendary Angel #1, is accompanied by two beautiful and deadly agents, Moon and Elaine, and the trio is then partnered with an American DEA operative named Alex. Together, they discover that the ruthless Madam Yeung has violently taken over the criminal enterprise, and the Iron Angels must stop at nothing to take her down. Soon, the agents find themselves in a bloody fight against Madam Yeung and her group of killers, led by her right-hand man, Mr. Chang (played by fan-favorite Hwang Jang-Lee).

Iron Angels II (aka Fighting Madam 2, 97 min): Now an Iron Angel himself, Alex goes on vacation with Elaine and Moon for much-needed rest and relaxation after completing a dangerous mission. While in Malaysia, Alex meets up with two old friends, Peter and Marco, to enjoy some laughs and reminisce. However, the stakes become deadly when Alex discovers that the CIA is secretly investigating his wealthy friend Peter for funding a government coup. To make matters worse, Elaine has fallen for Peter and soon finds herself held captive by his private army upon discovering his secret. With the help of Iron Angel Kharina, Alex and Moon must head into the jungle to get Elaine back, culminating in a bloody showdown between the Iron Angels and Peter's private army.

Iron Angels III (aka Return of Iron Angels, 92 min): The Iron Angels are back once again, this time to stop an international terrorist organization hellbent on starting a war between Thailand and Vietnam. Moon must go undercover as a deadly assassin to infiltrate the terrorist group as they are planning to assassinate several high-ranking government officials. In the meantime, Alex and Kharina are partnered with a young newcomer named Kwai and a tech specialist nicknamed "Computer" to assist Moon. However, after losing contact with Moon, it is up to the other Iron Angels to try and stop the assassinations before it is too late. When the group gets word of a potential attack at a government summit, Alex and Kwai jump into action and quickly find themselves in the middle of an all-out battle, good thing they are armed with machine gun-mounted jet packs!

I'm not sure if this was mentioned in the studios section of Vinegar Syndrome, but if not, here ya go and I instantly pre-ordered 30 minutes ago!!!

If these sell out, then maybe- just MAYBE we can FINALLY get more Girls with Guns from Vinegar Syndrome that isn't released yet, not double dipping obviously.

For Golden Princess, I might just wait for Arrow to release theirs for new artwork is my guess compared to Shout using the original posters.

They are perfect if you're getting into Girls /w Guns movies. Iron Angels 1 is prob. top 3 for me. 2 is good - 3 has its moments but the main course here is still 1+2.

I've yet to see the sequels, but the original is one of my Top 10 favorite action films due to the Yukari Oshima Vs. Moon Lee Scene. That and Yukari Oshima plays a great villainess.

The person you're replying to will not regret this as a blind buy, must see for the fight choreography alone, as is all HK/Taiwan action films.

I'm hoping and will probably wait for Arrow to release them Vs. Shout due to Arrow most likely using custom artwork and release Angel Terminators 2 as a top priority.

Anytime Yukari Oshima and Moon Lee team up is legendary.

Total blind buy for me. What other girls with guns movies has VS released besides Black Cat 1 & 2? I missed out on those but maybe I could get the 88 Films releases instead.

I'd consider An Eye for An Eye and Women on The Run in the Girls With Guns sub-genre. An Eye for An Eye is a must watch, imho. I can't believe I forgot Lady Reporter/Righting Wrongs II, another must watch for the fight choreography.

Black Cat 1 and 2 are legendary too, but I prefer the sequel more due to the final fight scene. They're getting quite expensive though, the last I checked.

Thanks for the recommendations. I've picked those up as well as the Black Cats from 88 since VS is OOP. I actually previously picked up Women on the Run because it looked interesting but haven't watched it yet.

No problem. Women on the Run is decent, at best. Iron Angels 1-3, Black Cat 2, 1, and An Eye for An Eye are way better, to me anyways.

I think you'll really REALLY love Iron Angels 1-3, plus Black Cats 2 and 1, watch both for the action choreography alone because that's what most get into HK/Taiwan Action films for anyway.

I can't believe I forgot about Righting Wrongs 1 and 2 (The Sequel being Lady Reporter but might be a loose sequel, so many title names lol.)

But yeah, both of those films are great Girls with Guns too since Cynthia Rothrock shines before trying to make movies in the west, which I frown upon her filmography there. It's fun, but man, what a waste of martial arts talent.

Just picked this up, think it's worth buying at full price. The cost per film is fair and better value than some of the 50% off titles. Kudos to VS for this one

Do we already know whether a UK distributor (88?) might have picked this one up for a region B release?

Thrilled this trilogy is getting a release. Find it a little weird that VS don't mention Yukari Oshima once in their description. Sure, she's only in the first film, but most reviews I've seen list her as one of the its highlights. That's not hard to believe. Exhibit A:
That series of fight compilations is how I found out about the existence of Iron Angels. Don't get me wrong. I'm not complaining about VS not mentioning Oshima. Just found it strange, and I wanted an excuse to share that video.

Bring on more girls with guns.

One of my favorite HK action trilogies.
Massive amount of mayhem, hot chicks with guns, and dangerous stunts.
So happy about this, since I've been waiting forever for a blu-ray release.
Not the easiest to find on DVD either, and those dvd transfers was pretty muddy.

Yeah, her not mentioned in the description is honestly a legit shocker. She made a name in HK making Girls with Guns films actually TEAMING with Moon Lee, and some she stars by herself.

From the sales I've been tracking on VS Website, let's HOPE VS is the Botique Label that will be the first company to take the genre seriously by releasing more.

I know Arrow/Shout will release Angel Terminators II/Golden Princess Library (another of my all-time favorite Girls with Guns since Yukari Oshima and Moon Lee team up), but I most likely will wait for Arrow's release due to custom artwork whereas Shout will use the original poster art.

Let's hope they see sales data as a means of releasing more Girls with Guns on Blu-Ray. No double dipping titles (for me anyway) like In The Line of Duty 1-4, Inspector Wears Skirts 1-4, She Shoots Straight, and VS already released awesome editions of Righting Wrongs 1 and 2 (#2 being a loose sequel by title only called Lady Reporter).

I forgot and they released the definitive edition (compared to 88 Films release) of Black Cat 2 and 1. Those are must see Girls with Guns due to the final fight scene in BC 2 alone.
