Custom PS3 Coverart - Blu-ray Forum

Found this thread through google and based on a forum search there isn't a newer thread as far as I can tell so hopefully I just didn't miss it

Decided to toss together a cover in the new PS3 cover design.

Was using this as a guideline since the Gundam bundle in Japan has the first game with the new case....

Anyway........

And might as well post a couple of my older covers....

Son of a *****. The cases are adopting the new PS3 logo. God dammit. That's ****in' ***. I really hope this doesn't happen in the U.S. Way to ruin my previous collection of games, Sony.

Sorry, but I'm really anal about uniformity. If Sony changes the look of their cases now after two and a half years into the PS3's lifecycle... all because of a newer, slimmer console

They are changing in North America as well. Japan is just the first region to get a game released in the new casing since most near future games will still have the old casing but I would guess by the end of the year all games will be in those cases.

The official PS Blog also posted pictures of the new North American cover design to confirm it isn't just Japan for the next Ratchet and Clank game as well but took them down for some reason. But people saved it before they took it down of course.

I hated the new cover design at first but after seeing the Gundam cover in the actual case I changed my mind since it looks nicer IMO. The back cover is always what had me hating the R&C cover the most though but that is just supposed to be a placeholder and not final. Happy to see that the case itself only has the Blu-Ray logo now and always hated the side bar on the front cover. Never understood why they didn't ditch that when they added the top bar.

But can see why people hate it for uniformity purposes. Personally I don't really care about that which is probably why it grew on me. Plus the way I see it I already have certain collector's editions that killed uniformity anyway.

Not totally crazy on how this one turned out but got sick of trying to fix it and just decided to keep it as is.
