Default Somewhere (Sofia Coppola)

Looking forward to this! Pre-ordered on Amazon. I've said it before, but I'll say it again: hopefully sales of this will finally get Virgin Suicides and Marie Antoinette printed!

I'm also hoping for some nice special features.. commentary??

Looking forward to picking this one up as well, definitely a top 5 from 2010 for me. Actually saw it in theaters twice. Will probably pick up from Best Buy--I've got some Reward Zone cash there, and I don't anticipate this title having the first week sale that higher profile releases do.

I just saw the news blip here for France's Sofia Coppola box set. Seeing as I already have half the set it's a no go for me. But I sure hope they get on VS and MA toot sweet over here!

Default wtf?

The Sofia Coppola collection at Amazon France is showing none in stock (only from 3rd party sellers that will not ship overseas)

What's the deal? It came out a few days ago...

Anyone know where else i could purchase it from?

The only other place I can recommend is FNAC. If you live in the US, good luck getting anything from Amazon France. I had the same order returned to them FOUR times by DHL Global Mail without any explanation or reason. Their Customer Service is absolutely useless and totally apathetic. I asked them repeatedly to explain why the orders are being returned and all I get is a canned response each time. I've ordered from Amazon UK & DE before without a hitch. Amazon France won't even bother to resolve their International Delivery problems with their chosen shipping company. Amazon France is a stain on Amazon's positive Customer Service image.

That's a customs issue. I request that the package be labeled as a Gift, which is always true, actually. Never had a problem.

Customs issue!? The order consisted of four Blu-ray disks only. As I mentioned before, I ordered from Amazon UK & DE without any problems. And I bought from French eBay sellers before without any problems. I also heard from a couple of people who selected the expedited shipping option - more expensive obviously - did receive their shipments without issues. There is something screwy about the way DHL is handling - or maybe Amazon FR is labeling - the packages.

Anyway, I appreciate the tip of labeling the shipment as a gift. I might try that if the current shipment gets rejected for the 5th time.

I ordered my box set from Amazon FR the day it came out 5/18 and got the shipping confirmation on the 20th. I hope it gets here now without these customs snafus.

Think this is my favourite Sofia Coppola film. Seen the Blu-ray quite a few times now. Like the L.A. locations, pacing and the nuanced performances. It's also funny in places. I guess a very basic narrative can go quite a long way.
