Default Best Buy - Typical

Well, I went to Best Buy today to buy two BluRays. Queen's Rock In Montreal and the Elton John 60 one. Guess what? Yep, neither one was in stock. Now what in the hell kind of crap is that? I even had someone check the computer to make sure it was not sitting in the back room and he showed me his monitor that said ZERO on hand. I just shrugged my shoulders and said...TYPICAL!

Another Best Buy fared the same and Circuit City, why do I even bother shopping there?

So, I just ordered them both from Amazon and will have to wait for snail mail.

Anyone find these two gems anywhere retail-wise yesterday?

This is one of many reasons why I don't really care for shopping at BB or CC unless they have a good sale. They either don't have what you want in stock or they charge you retail price when you can get it online for a lot cheaper.

They were available out here in the NW, but I would have to say they never have enough stock on new releases for sure!

Default Best Buy and CC

Best Buy is a good place to buy BRays or PS3 games ONLY when they are having a sale...and CC is a good place to go...NEVER!

Up here in Canada, they have Edward Scissorhands for 44.97 CAD at Futureshop. They wont budge with the price for some weird reason. I see this title everywhere else for 32.99.
Havent found it at BB yet. Sittin on the fence before making that Amazon move

you could always go online to best buy.com and see if they have the item you want in stock before going to store. sometimes they don't, and i believe it has something to do with demographics. WOULD THEY MAKE MONEY OFF OF THE ITEM, OR NOT? same way movie theatres work. they see send movie to where they could make money the most and neglect others. however, i do see your point it is frustrating.

I'm in Northern VA and checked the BB website to see store availability for Queen and Elton 60 before going to the store.....the website showed nothing available at any of the stores in the area. I picked up POTC 3 and then asked them to check the other two in their computer....nothing and nothing on order!

Sucks.......CC as of last night showed both as "backorder".

I will probably order today from Amazon because I really want these.

HMV had (still think they do) a 2/$50 promotion..Edward was one of the titles with a sticker on it..

Good point about checking store availability first. I will start doing that. I don't mind paying a higher price to get it that day. Just think, Best Buy got screwed out of screwing me out of the higher price of these two BluRays. Both of them would have ended up costing me probably around $50 plus tax vs the $37.87 I paid...tax, tag and title for them on Amazon.

Keep in mind even that isn't fool proof. A few times I've checked store availablility, it was listed as not having it and yet they actually did.

Ha! "BB or CC". I like it.

I have to cut BB some slack because the one I frequent (Southern NJ) was the only store to have the Stanley Kubrick movies the day they were released. This is when "2001: A Space Odyssey" was shipping "in about 5 weeks" from Amazon.

I see a lot of topics like this.

You guys do know that you can check online if your best buy has the movies in stock, right?

It'll save you a trip to the store if they don't have it.
