Okay I may be scraping the bottom of the barrel here, but I'm desperate for a show to watch that I enjoy. La Femme Nikita (Peta Wilson version) was horrible, and I didn't get into The Mentalist, so now I'm trying THIS. Heard nothing but good stuff about it (Wyldeman aside) and so I'm going to give it a shot.
I looked for a regular thread for this, but could not find one. Does not bode well, but maybe I'm just a shitty thread searcher. So starting with Episode 1, and there's already a bright mark: Josh Charles. ![]() He's a favorite actor of mine since seeing him in "Threesome" (with Stephen Baldwin & Lara Flynne Boyle) and Crossing The Bridge (once again with Baldwin, and Jason Gedrick). |

Five episodes in and I definitely like this. The subplot with the kid looking into that photo shopped picture could be interesting. He just made the call to the sex line for Katerina, and the girl's like, "Kid...I'm not Katerina". lol.
I'm thinking someone at the escort service has that credit card number he used, so I'm betting that's going to come back to bite him. Liking the first season so far. |

Margulies was the wife of a ADA or something (not sure) and he (Chris Noth) was caught up in a scandal that involved him being caught with another woman (sex tape leaked by Titus Welliver who is the DA) and allegations of abusing his powers for financial gain. Supposedly he took bribes and shit, but he insists that he never did THAT. Now he's in his third month of a 10 year prison sentence and there's rumors of a possible appeal due to some misconduct or whatever at trial. The wife, thoroughly humiliated, has finally come back out in public again and is working for a law firm that is run by Christine Baranski and Josh Charles. She's now a Junior Associate. There's the case of the week, but also strong storylines going from episode to episode throughout the season. Everywhere she goes, it's impossible to escape what she went through, because EVERYONE knows what her husband did, and her having to stand up there beside him as he admits to "betraying my marriage", like the typical politician's wife. Overall it's a decent show. Entertaining. |

Well he's been in two or three of the first five episodes. I think he'll play a bigger role as we go on, and it comes down to whether or not he's trying to **** over her husband.

ha ha ha, that movie was terrible. The stuff with Leslie Nielson and the diapers, I was just like "ugh".
That said, I've been a big fan of Craig Bierko since Long Kiss Goodnight, Thirteenth Floor and this short film with Janeane Garafalo called "The Cherry Picker" that was kinda funny. I think they were supposedly dating at the time. |

lol @ the ending to Episode 11.
Bierko's "Glenn Beck" character is exposing secrets of the Law firm that prosecuted him (or tried to), and his last big reveal is hilarious, if only for Christine Baranski's response to it. This had me laughing. |

This is actually a pretty solid show. It too was something I didn't start watching until late. Maybe half way though season 1 - and have grabbed every episode since.
Nothing ground-breaking - just very solid writing & acting. |
