Anyone who played socom or socom 2 back in the day on ps2 will love this. H-Hour is the unofficial sequel to socom 2, and it is being developed by the same people who brought us the original socom. If you like online tactical shooters that require a lot of teamwork this is the game for you. It puts a lot of emphasis on creating clans and competing against other clans just the like the older games did. Starting a Bluray.com clan would be pretty cool lol.

They just had a kickstarter campaign to raise funds for a demo, so it could be a year or so before the game is launched. sofstudios.com is their website.

So...does this mean that they finally got publisher backing for the proof of concept demo that was funded on Kickstarter?

Also, if anyone would be helpful to move this thread to the PS4 section (seeing how that has more attention), that would be helpful.

Well this is coming to PC too, and it is the lead platform for the game. A PS4 thread dedicated to the game will be great though. I'm not sure about the publisher after looking up the Wiki.

I'm really excited about this game, but I'm just hoping this isn't gonna end up like Takedown: Red Sabre, where they basically sold off a beta level game as a full game.

Yeah, I'm worried that'll turn out like that. Especially since it was funded the same way (initial funding for demo to show publishers so they can further fund the game). Let's just hope that I'm wrong.

Looks like SOCOM, atleast closer than the PS3 era was.

I think I may break my vow on not buying Early access games, unless if this is more than $20.
