Wal-Mart Oblivion MetalPak (Walmart Exclusive)

So I found this on this website but I haven't heard of this anywhere else. Anybody knows if this is true? I tried to find it at walmart.com but couldn't

I hadn't heard anything about one... if that pic is accurate, it looks like it's actually a metalpack release similar to the ones Walmart had from Paramount's catalog recently.

It's nice looking, but not as nice as an actual steelbook.

If that's a MetalPak, eww....

If it's a Steelbook, great!

I see plastic slips on the spine which leads me to believe this will be a metal pack and not a steelbook. I would love for it to be a steelbook though since I like that artwork better than the UK and other releases.

i don't care which it is, day one for me. i didn't get to see this in the theater. i'll be happy with whatever specialty case it is. yes, while a steel would be nice, metal or digibook is just as good for me!

to each their own!

Looks like someone just took Future Shop's picture and made up an entry for a WM exclusive. I don't see any evidence this is coming to the US.

I thought, at the minimum, you had to have a retailer web link when submitting to the database? I guess not.
Oh well, hopefully WM receives a Metalpak. I believe that would be their first new release to receive that form of packaging.

There will be an in-store preorder at Walmart starting tomorrow (according to the shelf tag I saw today), so it might be able to be resolved once we see what picture the preorder features.

That's how it should be otherwise you can just add anything and start confusion.

I'd rather have a steelbook than a metalpak, but Oblivion just got bumped up a day 1 buy.

The spine on this looks different from the Futureshop one that just went up for preorder a little while ago, I wonder if its just the mockup?

I was just thinking that also...that definitely looks like a steelbook spine and not a metal pack spine.

Looks more like an Ironpak case to me. It's a strange hybrid design that has a steelbook illusion but opens differently.

I wish this and the other releases with this front artwork were SteelBooks. Not keen on the UK/FR/GER bridge artwork.

I agree, that the spine does look SteelBook.
