I have been reading the Long Good Friday thread a lot as I have the limited set on order, and the last day or so has had some, IMO, horrendous modding that I would actually go as far as to call outright censorship.
The comment that was taken offence to seemed like a good comment that didn't break any rules as far as I could see, and the complete over-reaction in the moderation of that post and subsequent posts has been rather disappointing to see, as if to say that "you disagree with me, so I'm going to delete your posts". I could see this happening if their were insults, bad language or personal attacks, but the post in question had none of these. Such a shame, as I have a lot of respect for the mod in question and have had a number of good chats with him. Hopefully this is just a mis-step and not something we will see more of, but I feel it was a poor enough decision and would like to hear feedback from other mods on it. /mini rant |
