I remember dvd's occasionally having Easter eggs on them. For example, being able to highlight something like the alien spacecraft on the menu of Independence Day and being able to unlock something neat. I don't remember specifically if that was one, but you get the idea. Lots of DVD movies had Easter Eggs like that. Found by pushing up on the remote, instead of the logical menu left and right, or some other thing.
Nowadays, when people talk about Easter eggs, it's just a visual in the film, like Captain America's shield in the background of Iron Man. Do any Blu rays have that kind of feature? Or did studios just decide not to do that anymore? |
