I figured Sony was going to release Fright Night themselves sooner or later. They should've released it from the git go! I have the Eureka release, and it looks much better than the Twilight Time disc. The upscaled in 4K was the icing on the cake.

Finally, 4K would be great but having the Blu will definitely work.

Neat, but the Eureka release is the very definition of perfection. Region-free and cheap, too.

There it is! Figured this would come from somewhere other than Twilight Time eventually. Always found the TT titles expensive in Canada, so I'll bite on this release.

You'd think that would be the logical way to go considering there are 8000 BD copies out there via Twilight Time (which doesn't even take into consideration the non-US releases).

They put Christine out on blu-ray and I'd guess the original Fright Night is about as popular...guess it depends on how well 4K Christine sold.

Fright Night is of course the one that I paid $35 for with Twilight Time when it was released on the 2nd round (and sold out the first day)...

I didn't do that for The Blob....

When Sony or any other studio license their movies to other distributors to be released on home video, they make more money. So far Sony have earned royalties from Twilight Time and Eureka for Fright Night. Now Sony is going to release it themselves, and they will make even more money from the sales.

They're talking about Fright Night part 2 (1988). The version you bought is Fright Night 2: New Blood (2013) & is a sequel to the Fright Night remake.

This. I'm good with the Eureka version I have. Plus it has the 2 hour making of. What more could you want?

Sony needs to release the Blob (1988) in 4K.
