I am trying to decide between these two models for the bedroom for PS3 gaming and blu ray movies. Any pros or cons for each model and at 32" size does it really matter between 1080 and 720P?

Want some advice? Well, I own the 32" Sharp Aquos 1080p with 10,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. This is the best bedroom HDTV on the market thus far. I'm very pleased with mine so far as I've had it for about six months. I will not trade in the current one I have for any other. If you're looking for the perfect bedroom tv, this is The One. Trust me! You'll not be disappointed!

I have the LC32D62U which was out just before the G series and I love my tv. Quality unit and great picture, resolution counts. Enjoy.

The resolution will not matter at that size.
Check out both of those tvs in at least a couple of different stores and go with the one you like best. Resolution is never the main determinant of picture quality. Color, contrast, build quality, and available settings are all more important considerations. |

No argument on the fact that contrast and other traditional factors apply but the sony 32" is over priced and not built by sony. But either way I am not knocking th sony both are good but I had a 720p tv and went to a 1080p same size 32" and I believe with my eyes that resolution counts your eyes will decide.

I have the 32Gp1u in my room with my ps3....absolutely love it
as those above have said it goes hand in hand with a ps3....after all its the sharp's gaming series tvs...the contrast ratio is amazing and the vyper drive kicks ass for game consoles.... as others stated...1080 vs 720 doesn't make that big of a diff at 32"...but the contrast and other features make it a must for me....sharps are always good quality tvs |

sitting at 7-8ft away on a 50in 1080p doesnt even make a difference to me at least. so if its 32, it will definitely not make any difference.
