A link was added in the Blu-ray 3D release calender section for an October 30, 2012 Blu-ray 3D release of "Three Stooges".
No synopsis or information available about it. The Best Buy link has no information and only states it's a Blu-ray disc with a 9/25/2012 Release date for Pre-Order only. ![]() Hope the Blu-ray 3D part is not an error. ![]() Anyone have information? Paul |

![]() Which means it'll not only be a cheap conversion, but my psychic powers tell me the shorts will be: (concentrates) Disorder in the Court, The Brideless Groom, Malice in the Palace and Sing a Song of Six Pants, and maybe a couple of lost musical numbers with Ted Healy. ![]() (My powers of prophecy are not to be questioned.) Should've gotten it back when "Spooks" was still available. ![]() |

The 3D conversions and colorizations have been done by Legend Films / Legend3D: http://legend3d.com/ ![]() Three Stooges [3D Blu-ray] https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Three...Blu-ray/52764/ This is The Three Stooges at their bumbling, eye-poking, hair-pulling best! Including a full, high-quality restoration and colorization, this feature offers something that none before it have: a stunning, stereoscopic 3D transfer. See the boys like you have never seen them before with antics that jump off the screen as every slap, fall and nose-tweak is brought to life within your home. This set is a must-have for every fan and is the perfect complement to your home video library! ![]() March of the Wooden Soldiers 3D Blu-ray https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/March...Blu-ray/57294/ March of the Wooden Soldiers in 3D! Features Fully-Restored Color and Black & White Versions of this Heartwarming Holiday Classic. Imagine an enchanted fantasy world of timeless characters and magical moments where nothing goes right for the clumsy toymakers Stannie Dum and Ollie Dee. When a notorious scoundrel, Barnaby, demands to marry the beautiful Little Bo Peep, guess who secretly emerges as the blushing bride? Based on the original Babes in Toyland, this movie is a dazzling spectacle of 6-foot wooden soldiers, Mother Goose characters and the beloved team of Laurel and Hardy. Spectacularly restored in both color and black-and-white, and including a beautiful high-definition transfer of this beloved classic, this release boasts superb graphics that are enhanced with a stunning stereoscopic 3D transfer. See the storybook characters come to life with imagery so real you feel you could reach out and touch it -- it is like seeing this family favorite for the very first time, all over again! Now in stunning stereoscopic 3D, March of the Wooden Soldiers has never looked better! Includes high-definition digital restoration and a beautiful color print in 3D. Fully-restored Black-and-white and Color versions of film are available in the DVD and Blu-ray Disc formats! ![]() Little Rascals: Best of Our Gang 3D Blu-ray https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Littl...Blu-ray/52780/ Spanky, Buckwheat, Porky and all The Little Rascals at their hilarious best! Your family will fall in love with the antics of Our Gang as they get lost in a haunted house, race down a precarious hill in their homemade fire engine, and try to survive an unexpected visit from the famous Wild Man of Borneo! These timeless comedy classics have been given a high-definition restoration and colorization that is second only to the stunning stereoscopic 3D conversion! The kids will leap off the screen and right back into your hearts in this collection of hilarious and entertaining Rascals films -- now presented in 3D for the very first time! I expect Legend will do a good job. I've enjoyed their colorizations. There's a good chance we'll see Legend do the same for some of the cult public domain movies they've colorized at some point - like "The House On Haunted Hill", "Plan 9", "Bride Of The Monster", "Missile To The Moon", "Carnival Of Souls" etc, etc - |

I appreciate the fact that the older versions are still available, but honestly wouldn't mind seeing Three Stooges in 3D color and March of the Wooden Soldiers 3D in color also. Both great. Little Rascals is good too, but I'll hold off for now.
Once the 3D is confirmed as good or not, then I'll buy, unless they're only 10.99 each, that is almost too good to pass up. Thanks for posting this. |

And while I wouldn't mind seeing the Stooges in color, I can assume it's the Five PD Shorts (Disorder in the Court, The Brideless Groom), and can do without seeing Malice in the Palace one more time. The Evil Spirit commands Legend to stand on their heads in the lily pond until further notice. ![]() Last edited by EricJ; 10-15-2012 at 05:05 AM. |

Very good call! Apparently you can buy the 3D version of "Pardon My Backfire" in the Playstation 3 store... for $30. That's right, for a short that's not even 20 minutes, it'll be $30
![]() Here's hoping Sony will finally put those HD transfers to good use, put all of the shorts on blu-ray, and with that, put Spooks and Pardon My Backfire on 3D blu-ray! |

![]() At least the Legend blus seem to be around $15, but I wonder if they're proper HD transfers, or upconverts in order to use HD 3D. The DVD version of these shorts that Legend released around 2005/2006 (can't quite remember) were in good quality, especially since they were public domain versions, but I dunno if they actually took the time (or money) to make HD masters prior to making 3D conversions. |
