This is a thread for movies that you play to show off your Plasma's capabilities to guests
![]() My #1 Pick The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo Opening sequence is just JAW DROPPING for plasma owners. The inkiness and black on black contrast is to die for if you have a plasma...esp one with exceptional "black hole darkness" like Pioneers or some of the Panasonics. Screenshots from the BD review also show the beauty of this movie in "movie mode" which is commonly used by Plasma owners. Different color filters are on display and this movie is rich on the eyes. If you have a friend who is a videophile this is a good one to show. My #2 Pick The Matrix - inky black levels, eye popping contrast...and we won't even get into the sound here which is sublime Last edited by jc480; 05-12-2015 at 11:07 AM. |

Gravity is easily the reference BD for black levels.
