Loved Shadow of Mordor and have been wanting a sequel since it was released. Hope we get to travel a lot more this time and get a lot of different environments.

Yes, I hope we get a full scaled open world that goes beyond separate open maps. That would be awesome but we'll see if they have that goal or if they just offer a similar map size. There's no reason this couldn't offer a bigger world of Middle Earth. I like how the title doesn't limit it to "Mordor" this time. Sounds like we'll be able to get into combat with our own army of orc followers. That was one of the coolest things about Shadow of Mordor. Taking over the minds of orcs to fight for you. |

![]() ![]() I didn't like the game much the first time I played it due to a number of things but then I gave it another shot with the GOTY Edition and all issues I had were nowhere to be seen. Still don't know if that was from a patch or what, but I highly enjoyed it the second time I tried it. I'll grab this when the full edition is a reasonable price, which if it comes out in August, it may see a reasonable price by Black Friday. |

I enjoyed the first game immensely, even though I traded it in shortly after beating it. Hoping this one offers a bit more variety and staying power, at least for me. Even if it doesn't, I'll at least pick it up and play through it. Great announcement!

March would be good to see some details about this. Based on the title, it's clear they're going to focus on the war element, expanded in this one even more. With that in mind, I wonder if we'll see a giant open world, versus a giant battlefield in the name of War. Great to see Monolith was working on this the whole time without any announcements. The first one was a hit. |

This may sound crazy.....but I would love an open world game where you decide how you get to Mordor to destroy the one ring. Do you follow the path of the Fellowship from the books/movies, or do you go a different way? You decide. LORD OF THE RINGS - THE OPEN WORLD GAME EXPERIENCE. That'd be a game I would play.

As I said, it does sound awesome but you definitely need some narrative in there to keep you on the path or a story for why you've gone a different route to the fellowship. Also, if you've gone a different route why have you got the One Ring and not Frodo. |

This is exactly what they're allowing people to do in Breath of the Wild. If you want to go right to the end and skip the story you can apparently.
