Has anyone viewed this japanese release? I was set on the french release and then seen this one which is even more current.

I am curious how the quality is.

Gotta bump this thread. The reviews for the US version are pretty spotty, so I'm curious how this one stands up.

There's some caps over on Capsaholic if anybody's interested. Looks like there's virtually no difference between the Japanese and American releases, unfortunately.

Not gonna happen, given Japan's market dynamics for home video.

It's a Geneon / NBCUniversal release with an MSRP of 4700 JPY (or $42), so even with discounts you won't find it for less than $30-$35 before tax/shipping. Heck, even the used copies sell for at least $25 on Yahoo Japan Auctions...
