United Kingdom The Killing (The Complete First Season)

I just saw that the US-Version of "The Killing" is already for sale in UK. Does anybody own this? Is the picture and sound any good?

Why did this get moved to the US-Section? My question was concerning the UK release of the US-Series remake of the Danish Television Series.

Why put US in the title then?

Nick is right. You put 'US Release' in the title and made it sound you are asking a question about Criterion's release - of Stanley Kubrick's film - which is available as an import in the UK.

So can you actually post a link to the release you need info about? Is it this one?

Yes that's the titel I meant. Sorry, I wasn't aware that there's a movie out there that's named like the TV-Show. I put the "US-Version" in the title because the show is a US-remake of a danish series.
Unfortunately I can't edit the topic title to make certain people know this is about the TV-Show.

I understood what you were saying.... Can't comment on the quality but I'm sure it will be either quite grainy and grim to much the tone of the show or they'll go for the sleek look. For some reason I can't remember what it looked like! It was a lot cheaper a few months back though.

Fantastic series with an excellent lead but I'm in love with the original (series two is almost over on the BBC) which remains pretty expensive for ten episodes even on DVD.

I picked this up when it dropped to 10-11 pounds a little while back. A/V transfer is great although keep in mind its mean to have a dark and gritty look.

I imagine Fox will release it disc for disc when the US release comes.

That's what's keeping me from buying it too... the pilot was really great, the best episode of season 1 and although still satisfying, it did not reach to that level again.

Probably best to have created a Season 4 thread, rather than bumping four other threads with same post. Good to know nevertheless, quite enjoy the US version in its own way although not as strong as the original series.
