Default Movies For Halloween

I am starting to figure this out early. What are the best horror movies to watch for Halloween?

Some horror movies I like are the original texas chainsaw massacre, the Halloween movies (all of the first three), some friday the thirteenth ones, the ring, and.... I can't think of others offhand, but I'm sure a lot of them I haven't seen before. And The Ring is probably only considered borderline horror, but basically I want anything creepy.

You can't go wrong with The Exorcist. There are so many good horror flicks to watch for Halloween I can't even name them all. My goodness this year is half gone already. How time flies.

The Shining
Suspiria
Drag Me to Hell
Scream (All of them, really, except the 3rd; it's pretty bad)
Alien (Only the first one is really a horror movie)
Cabin in the Woods (Though it has a lot of humor mixed in)
Vampyr (A 1932 film by Carl Theodore Dryer which is almost a silent movie -- but oh so great!)
House of the Devil
The Descent

That's just for a start.

I love The Shining. Forgot to mention that one.

I already had the exorcist and the descent on my list for Netflix to mail out, but may cancel it then possibly restart it for the month of October.

Didn't much like cabin in the woods.

Many others mentioned I haven't seen either, so hopefully I find a lot to watch from in here.

Btw, it would be nice if someone has a list of good movies which take PLACE on Halloween. There really doesn't seem to be too many, other than ones that aren't really scary types of movies. Also, someone mentioned the Simpsons.... I haven't watched that in over a decade, but I do remember watching some of those Halloween treehouse ones or w/e and seems like I did like them.

As far as tv shows, though, I remember some good Halloween episodes of Night Court.... I have some of them, but seems like I am missing a few. A lot of tv shows have good Halloween episodes, actually. Just seems like not too many movies do.

Btw, I love Halloween III. Someone should go around playing that commercial to all people who don't like the movie and terrorize them with it playing nonstop.

Donnie darko is my favorite movie, yet I forgot until you mentioned that it took place then. I remember now that party they had, for instance.
