Default Seeing lots of BLU today

In this Sunday's advertisements, it was very interesting. First off K-mart only mentioned. High School Musical 2 on Blu-ray and had no mention of Harry Potter or Bourne on HD DVD. No BD for Potter either. All the ads seemed to be pushing Potter over Bourne anyway, it was kind of like, oh yeah, this movie is out this week too, but Potter is the one you want to buy. Best Buy has a Blu-ray BOGO going on as well as the Panasonic BD player for $499. ( not really on sale) and the Samsung at $399. The Potter ad, 2/3rds of a page, had the BDs in front of the HD DVDs (the blu cases look better anyway) (I want the gift set with the Death Eater mask!) Lost season 3 is $64.99. A local electronics place has the Sony BD player for $349 in their ad, plus you get a free copy of Pirates 3. Then, I went to the mall and the SUNCOAST MOTION PICTURE CO had a poster just for Blu-ray, none for HD DVD. The only thing I don't like about SUNCOAST is that they sell everything at retail price.

Too bad we will still have thousands of our fellow citizens buying HD-DVD players because they have DVD in the name. I remember at FRy's this lady told the floor associate that she was going to buy HD-DVD because it is a name she can trust and that Blu-Ray sounded off-brand and foreign....I KID YOU NOT!!!!

So, Disney and FOX aren't names she can trust?

Too bad she will find out the hard way. More than likely a person this ignorant about technology will probably still play regular DVDs in it just like the people who bought the $99 dollar HD-DVD at WAl-Mart.
