Four of my favorite classic films in my collection with the best and most stunning picture quality are The Searchers, North by Northwest, White Christmas, and The Ten Commandments. Each of these movies was made in Paramount's widescreen high resolution process called VistaVision. These films often look better than films made today. Anyway, there are a lot more films made in VistaVision that have not yet made it to blu. Many of them I haven't even seen. Maybe some of you have. So, this is your place to say if you know of a VistaVision title that would be good for blu. Here's a list of all of the films made in VistaVision:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_VistaVision_films I vote for the great Hitchcock classic The Man Who Knew Too Much. I would love to see that one on blu-ray. PS Can someone tell me how to put up pix on this site? I'd like to put up a few posters of VistaVision titles... |
