Italy 50 % off at Amazon.it if you buy 5 titles or more

This has been running for a while, but I just read about it myself and since the offer is valid until the 30th, I thought I'd post about it here.

You can buy Star Trek - TNG Seasons 1,3,4,5 for ~ 60 € / 82 $ / 48 £!
The discs are supposed to be identical to the editions in the rest of Europe and the US, except for the covers. (For some reason, probably because it's temporarily out of stock, the 2nd season is not part of the deal).

Link

There are also seasons of Dexter, the Italian Blu-ray of Gilda,...

Edit: I do see the Italian blu-ray release for TNG is identical, will make use of this offer! Thanks.

Do you all know if the ST:TNG italian blu sets are region free or at least region A and B?

PS: here is the "5 titles or more = 50% off" code: GQMC3CPD49

Just tried that code with a bunch of blus, but it wouldn't accept it.

Did you make sure you picked titles from the list located here?

Yes, Star Trek TNG seasons 1-5 are identical to the US/UK sets (6 is still not available there), as well as the Enterprise seasons 1-2 (3 and 4 were never released in Italy)

This offer is completely bogus. I had more than 5 of the titles from their selection, entered the code and I get this message:

"Sorry, we were not able to save the data of your gift voucher or promotional code. Enter it again or use another method of payment."

I deleted the extra titles down to just 5 and I still get that message. Being that this ends in 24 hours, there is no way amazon.it is going to answer any inquiries as to why the coupon code is not working in time to use it.

If there are any italian users on this forum, we might need you to do a chat or phone call to their customer service to see what is going on.

I'm sorry this didn't/doesn't work for you, but it definitely worked for me. I posted here after ordering.

But I did have trouble at first, too. I was able to solve that by making sure all items were sold by Amazon.it directly, no marketplace sellers. And you can only add one of each items, no multiples. And you can only use this deal once. I hope this helps and you can still use this great deal! It saved me a lot of money.

Edit: Just try a chat with customer service today. At Amazon.co.jp people spoke (good) English, so I assume Amazon.it has English-speaking customer service as well.

I'll try doing the CHAT link tonight... hopefully they will be able to take care of it.

PS: I was considering ordering the JURASSIC PARK 3D blu as well (as it would be like E4.50 after the discount) and I've seen conflicting reports on it being Region B and/or Region Free. Does anyone know if this is region free (much less the STAR TREK NEXT GEN boxes)? I know you mentioned they are the same as the US releases, but same as in extras and pic quality, or same as in the same exact discs with region coding and everything?

I guess it's a good thing I'm single, or whatever woman in my life would be whopping me with her purse for the money I've been spending on these kind of deals.

Good luck with the chat!

I think the Star Trek TNG discs are 100% identical. I set my multi-region Blu-ray player to region A and the first discs (didn't have time for all of them) of season 1,3,4,5 played without problems. The discs themselves have the British, Irish, Spanish (I think) and Dutch rating symbols on them. All the specs are the same. The pre-menu preview trailers, etc. are the US trailers.

Of course, I can't guarantee these will play for you. But I'm very sure.

PS: Get a multi-region player! They're awesome and some of them are really cheap. You'll never look back!

PS: Check out this thread. They also mention that Amazon.it will deduct the VAT for you making the discs even cheaper yet!

PPS: The Jurassic Park 3d blu-ray is NOT part of the deal (neither is the 2nd season of Star Trek TNG). Maybe that's why this code doesn't work for you? If it doesn't say

Already have a multi-region player, but if I get a 3D player it will probably be region A... which is weird about the JURASSIC PARK blu, because I picked it out of the "5 for 50% off" list.

EDIT: Chat is temporarily closed.

When I click the link above and then click on Blu-ray 3D, the title does not appear, either. Maybe they took it out in the meantime? They have done this before. A couple of weeks ago, the 2nd season of Star Trek TNG was also part of the deal, but it's not anymore, as they're waiting for new stock.

Received the TNG sets today, they are identical to the dutch versions I have aside from the italian covers. The only downside is whereas the dutch version lists the english episode titles in the inner sleeve, the italian one has translated them so not as easy to make them out. But still an amazing deal, I basically bought 3 sets for the price I paid for one.

Hi Bumblefeet, I'm glad this worked out for you. I got my sets quite a while ago and am very satisfied with it as well. I'm thinking about printing a custom cover for the sets, but so far I've been to lazy.

The first three seasons of TNG I have are the Italian releases, but the discs themselves are identical to the UK ones (with UK, Irish, Dutch, Spanish ratings logos on them), so when you choose English, everything else afterwards is in the English language I haven't tried other languages, though. I think I've read elswhere in this forum that European and US releases are identical, apart from the disc art, so should behave exactly the same.

Is this still working? I tried it with seasons 1-5 or ST:NG and couldn't get the code to work.

"Il codice promozionale inserito non puņ essere utilizzato per il tuo acquisto."

The promotional code you entered can not be used for your purchase.

I tried the same thing for STNG 1-7 & it would not let me use the code.
