I just got to thinking about how in less than a year from now Blu-ray will already be 10 years old. Man that's hard to believe! Anyways it made me think back to when I first got into DVDs and made me wonder when DVDs were first launched in North America. I can't recall when they first came out, can anyone help me out? I seem to remember Toshiba being at the forefront with DVD as I do believe they helped develop the format.(I could be wrong on that though)
I still remember my first DVD player was a display model RCA player I bought from The Brick for $300. Hell it didn't even have component video on it! Just S-Video. My first two DVDs were Three Kings and Lethal Weapon 4. Good times! ![]() |
