Emma Roberts, Kiernan Shipka to Star in February

Scream 4 and American Horror Story: Coven‘s Emma Roberts and Mad Men‘s Kiernan Shipka are set to star in the horror film February. The announcement was made by Highland Film Group today.

Written and directed by Osgood Perkins, the son of legendary Psycho actor Anthony Perkins, the film concerns beautiful and haunted Joan, a woman who makes a bloody and determined pilgrimage across a frozen landscape toward a prestigious all girls prep school where Rose and Kat find themselves stranded after their parents mysteriously fail to retrieve them for winter break.

As Joan gets closer, terrifying visions begin plaguing Kat while Rose watches in horror as she becomes possessed by an unseen evil force.

“We look forward to bringing Osgood’s tantalizing story to life while keeping audiences riveted with suspense,” said producers Bertino, Biddle and Paris. Highland Film Groups’ Arianne Fraser and Delphine Perrier added: “Having these two brilliant young actresses as a part of the team will no doubt translate with our buyers and audiences worldwide.”

Emma Roberts and Mad Men‘s Kiernan Shipka are set to star together in the horror/thriller film February. Osgood Perkins, the son of Psycho actor Anthony Perkins who himself appeared in Legally Blonde and Star Trek, will write and direct. The story centers on Rose and Kat, two girls mysteriously left alone by their parents at their all-girls prep school during winter break when one becomes possessed by an unseen evil force.

Roberts is no stranger to the genre after appearing on Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story: Coven and on the next season, American Horror Story: Freak Show.

I really hope Kiernan's film career take off. It was fun seeing her grow up on Mad Men.
