Wouldn't mind seeing "The Black Hole" on Blu-ray. It was cheesy but fun, bet it would look great on BD.

Many of those titles are were also mentioned at the big BDA shindig in October.

2009 is supposed to be when they ramp up to 3-4 Platinum titles twice a year, but 2008 is looking promising for Disney animation fans: Sleeping Beauty and Finding Nemo are officially slated, Enchanted will likely release next year, Wall-E should be out by next Christmas, The Nightmare Before Christmas is said to be in the pipeline, and Roger Rabbit will be available in France. I hope Roger gets a North American release, and I hope this list continues to grow.

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe is also coming out this Spring, to support Prince Caspian -- and it ought to be a reference-level Blu-ray, judging by the amazing EE that came out last Christmas season.

Glad to see many recent classics from the Katzenberg era -- The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, The Lion King, Pocahontas -- all of which are a must; but where is Beauty and the Beast?

Even with an increased Platinum release schedule, and this BD announcement of older favorites like Jungle Book and 101 Dalmatians (a title I like, if only because I live in Dalmatia), it's curious to see standard DVD editions coming with no corresponding Blu-ray announcements.

Oh well. Whenever they come, they'll be more than welcome in my household.

I can't believe THe Incredibles are not on the list yet?

This has the potential to have mass appeal as it appeals to adults and young ones and is a great movie!!

I know I'm holding my breath until the day I die, but I really would love to get Who Framed Roger Rabbit(Europe is getting this next year), and Tron. I can only imagine how Tron would look on BD.

I sure hope they get these titles moving fast. I really wish Disney had been able to get a few of these out in 07. A Platinum release espescially for the Holiday season couldve made some real noise.

I was just thinking there is an advantage to being an hd dvd supporter. They're bank account are a lot bigger than ours since they don't have these titles to buy.

I personally can't wait to buy "Nightmare Before Christmas".

It's an okay list. The only titles I can see myself buying are:

1. Princess Diaries (kids of course)
2. Pocahontas (savages, savages)
3. The Nightmare Before Christmas (in our town, don't we love it now)
4. Finding Nemo (just keep swimming)
5. Chicken Little (still haven't bought it)
6. Chronicles of Narnia
7. Lion King
8. National Treasure (again)
9. 101 Dalmations
10. Monsters, Inc.
11. Toy Story 2 (um, where's TS1?)
12. Aladdin
13. Lilo & Stitch
14. The Little Mermaid

Well crap. That's more than 1-2 titles.

man...... this is crazy. I am sure I'll go bankrupt if they announce all of them simultaneously. I can't resist disney classic. rather disappointed that I did not cancel my jungle book pre-order. now that I have it on DVD, I have to double-dip.

I own all of the tiotles mentioned on DVD, except 7 titles, meaning I had to double dip quite a lot

I wouldn't get too excited.
Alot of those were listed on the PotC: Curse of the Black Pearl blu ray release and none really hit in 07.
It is good to be excited but false expectations lead to posts full of "zomg where is <instert title here> c'mon Disney wtf???"

The ones we know are to be expected as of now are Sleeping Beauty, Finding Nemo, Narina, and Nightmare before Christmas ( I hope ).
It is safe to say that Wall E and Enchanted will also hit day and date.
CES should tell the tale of what to expect.

It clearly says that these titles are available on DVD and Blu-ray. I think this does not mean that they are all on Blu-ray but that the list includes titles that are on Blu-ray. I could be wrong, and I hope to God that I am, but that is the impression I get.

I would love to get these on Blu-ray, but even if these ARE all Blu-ray titles, it also fails to mention when they will be available on Blu-ray.
