According to MVD, Autumn in New York (2000) will be released on August 28th. It's supposedly coming directly from MGM, and distributed by Fox, but based off the MSRP, I'm not sure about that yet.

Weird. I know Fox titles usually don't show up on MVD's site, and it seemed like something Kino might release even.

A special edition of Walking Tall (2004) is also being released in August and the AGFA titles also have the same UPC prefix. Maybe this is MGM's/Fox's attempt at "on demand" releases or these will be a part of the MVD Rewind collection.

You mean instead of the word “fall”? I don’t think it’s strange at all. Autumn is a more poetic, romantic word and it could also be seen as having a double meaning as it’s about a younger woman having a romance with an older man (who’s in his “autumn years”).

Back in 2000 I was seeing a new movie in theaters almost every week, and I swear I probably saw this preview almost every time I went to a movie between January and August of that year.

Fox is the primary distributor for MGM films on home video. Even titles licensed to Kino, Shout/Scream, Criterion, and Arrow credit Fox.
