It's those old film transfers that I could never warm up to - Kubrick's Odyssey and Spielberg's Encounters really looked that good, vortex?

Oh yeah! For almost being 40 years old, 2001 looks unbelievable and Close Encounters is just simply superior to its DVD counterparts in every way as well.

I say counterparts because there have been several versions released on DVD, but the Blu-ray version on Close Encounters includes all versions ever released plus a new director's cut. It looks glorious.

'pends on what you want

Memoirs of a Geisha is eye candy (sets, costume, lighting, cinematography), but you may not like the ending

I do recommend The Prestige for the "showmanship", the script structure, plot puzzle, good acting, good transfer, "Creepy" ending (or near-ending) the theatricality etc.

Cars & Ratatouille for pixar animation & sound

'nuff ?

I have only had my PS3 for 5 weeks thats why my collection is below everyone else's. I am getting the Harry potters tomorrow. The reason my collection is low, I had to buy 80gb PS3, 4 PS3 games, HD Cables, SCHOOL and plus I have to support my chewing habit.

Pixar/Disney releases, 2001, Spider man 3, & Pirates were some of the most impressive PQ.

Chewing? Bah, in college, we survive on bread and water when there's Blus o be bought. Food and gas are secondary concerns - and it's south Florida here! Save on heating.

FUDer is, from what I gather on these forums, one who spreads wrong information, incorrect numbers, false data.

FUD stands for something, but I like to make it stand for 'F'ed up Data' - I think It actually means 'Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt.'

Dont worry I will be in pride with Blu when more horror movies come out, trust me I buy alot of movies and I am just now back on level with my money budget and I will have a room full of Blu's by next summer. I will support Blu only, in this format war.
