I am very happy to see that Nova Media will do a limited (only 1,000) box release of the Bruce Lee movies ! Lets just hope they do not make the same mistakes as the Shout! Factory (USA) releases. The cover art is nice, but I have a bit of mixed feelings about they not a picture of Bruce Lee the man himself and not of the Enterbay 1/4 scale statue/toy.

The package looks so incredibly nice! But, another $70 on the same old FS masters? I highly doubt this will be something new. Of course, had Shout actually spent the time to re-color-correct their true HD masters, instead of the upscales, then the BL Legacy Collection would be the final word on BL for me.

This Novamedia box set looks like a combination of 2 previous BL box sets; BL The Ultimate Collection and BL The Legacy Collection. When you look at the features of this set, they have an interview with Tung Wai, Yuen Wah, Sammo, etc. All of these people had previously been interviewed for the BL Ultimate Collection. I doubt that they would go back and re-interview them. The only thing that I don't think that I have seen before is the "BL by Stephen Chow" or "BL by Tsui Hark", but then again, those interviews could have been pulled off of any previous release. I certainly have seen interviews where each one of these guys have spoken about Bruce. The booklet looks like it might have some of the same pictures that were in the BL Legacy Collection. The extras do not look like anything to write home about. I certainly do not plan on buying anything else on BL unless we get some true remastered HD prints or a box set with never before seen extras.

I went back to re-check out the specs on this. There was no mention of the English dub.

That is pretty strange.

Does anyone know which movie discs might be critical discs in terms of true HD picture quality and any other issues ?

The packaging is nice. But, since this one obviously has the same transfer, while Hong Kong release got more discs (include two documentaries), I'll stick with that one.

What's ironic is that it was Korea that first got the Fortune Star masters on DVD back in 2003/2004... would be nice if this also ends up being the first set to have the rumored new 4K masters. If so, that could bode well for the upcoming UK blus.

First off, how the hell have you been? Haven't heard from you in a while.

So, there are rumored 4k masters? That would be nice. If this set does actually contain them then I would have to pick this up; unless they are messed up. Not like I trust FS to handle a 4k transfer. But, 4k from the original film elements or upscaled to 4k?

FS: "Oh wait, you meant the new 4k master? You didn't specify which 4k master you wanted!"

FS: "Oh I thought you meant the 4k which is an upscale of our 2k upscales"
