United Kingdom Disney's Frozen - March 31st, 2014

Because Anna and Elsa deserve their own thread.

Quote:
Personal thoughts: Aside from a higgle in the third act, Frozen is the best thing to come out of the Disney studio since "the big four" and it's now somewhere in my top 10 Disney films. Will be going back to see it again and have already pre-ordered the Blu-ray 3D.

Is that a 3D steelbook? Really hope Zavvi aren't planning on backtracking now. They were really ripping us off by not including 3D discs in the past.
It says 2 discs, so I guess that's slightly promising, but it doesn't list 3D in the headline.

It may not have gone on sale yet. Just keep an eye on the thread for updates.

well after the whole disappearing of the 3D version from the US market - (it went somewhere into limbo) - decided to preorder the UK version.

I'm not usually a musical person but Disney's animated features rarely disappoint. This was an amazing one! I enjoyed this as much as their other animated features. Disney just haven't failed to impress this year or at all so far. Their animation department is on top of their game! I didn't expect to enjoy this as much as I did. Definitely will pick this up in march. All the films I have seen this year have been nothing but good apart from one notable mistake fox made in February!

Ended up seeing this 3 times. Loved it every single time and own the deluxe soundtrack. Regular 3D on order, though I'd love if we had an exclusive somewhere (not the SteelBook).

What was the 'higgle' in the third act? I didn't notice anything wrong

[Show spoiler]Hans being the villain. Add to that, his ridiculous monologue/motive. Add to that, a very weak (if any) comeuppance.

Now I know what happens, it doesn't bother me at all. When I first saw it, though, it more took me out of the movie than the "Hey!" reaction it was going for.

You never know Sainsbury's may ed up getting an exclusive. They seem to be getting a lot of those recently.

And one that we'd never know about beforehand due to them stopping online orders. But I had Sainsburys in mind, too, so fingers crossed.

That just confirms details on pre-orders online. You can still buy in store and my guess is that they will continue to have exclusives available in store.

Brilliant! March 31st is much sooner than I thought it would be released! (and not too long after the US release either). I've opted for the Zavvi Steelbook, but knowing my purchasing habits, I'll likely end up with other versions along the way.

Same here,
I will get the Zavvi steelbook and the 3d version....... Hopefully with a decent slip.
I hope that Disney give this release to us as special as the film was
The 3d release in the US seems to be causing some upset on the US thread.

Come on Disney be proud of your release and do the film justice

Yerp that's likely exactly what I will end up doing! Just to get the slip! (that and sometimes Zavvi distribute the steels a week or 2 after the general release, and I'm too impatient).

Ironically I was searching the US Amazon the other day and couldn't find a 3D version, whilst I'm probably opening a can of worms here, did Disney US confirm they aren't releasing a 3D version? I'd assume its pure speculation at the moment!
