Default More UK Shop Mistakes

Need I say anymore?

I spoke to a lady on the tills, explained to her that fox are BD exclusive and that this sort of advertising can lead to confusion for consumers.

So 2 weeks in a row we now have woolworths making mistakes like this!

I really don't understand how this has happened, same with Transformers in a Blu-ray case last time. The studios surely supply them as discs in cases, I can understand that they will remove the discs to keep behind the counter, but to get the sleeve in the wrong type of case, surely someone has to actively remove the sleeve from the case and put it into the other type of case, and this can only be done as a deliberate act?

I can only think that it's a deliberate policy to see how many people ask about the "wrong" version to allow them to gauge the level of consumer confusion the format war is causing.

I wonder if they are really trying to trick people or they themselves really have no clue at all either?

Woolworths! lol, I just wandered in there the other day, they had HP on HD DVD and not blu-ray. Maybe another title on HDDVD (all of these were interspersed with shelves full of DVD's) and a couple of BD titles around the place too.

It's not the place you want to go if you want hi-def movies.

Couple of guesses, either they're completely clueless (high probability) and wanted to split them between a couple of cases to look even (they probably assumed all titles were on both formats and that they just didn't get their HD DVD's) or an employee did it for a joke or out of malice.

Tell me something.. why does every picture of inside a store over at the UK look "institutional", "aged", "old" ?

Why is nothing "modern" ?

Woolworths are almost finished, not seen one for 15 years!

Everyone I know buys from supermarkets or stores like HMV, Virgin, GAME etc.

Woolworths reprint the cases so they all have "display case" on the er.. display cases They are all empty boxes.

That's a pretty big cock-up though.

Small town.. not a great store.

I dont usually get BD's at woolworths, but it is the only place local to get them.

I myself judging by the people who work there.. would say it's down to stupidty not malice or a joke.

They all need to be sent on training courses
