'The Story of the Late Chrysanthemums', my old lecturer's favourite Japanese film. I've only seen Sansho and Ugetsu so far which were both superb. Whether I get round to buying this or not; it's great to see archive titles and especially World Cinema getting more attention on blu of late.

This is both great news and an explanation for the delays that plagued this release since it was first announced! Of course i don't expect any miracles with mid-30s to mid 40s Japanese movies, just something along the lines of bfi's editions of The Only Son and There Was a Father. Thanks AE!!
