Australia Beyond the Darkness

I noticed a couple people have purchased this, and was hoping someone might provide more specs for this release?

There is a US release which, according to the back cover, has some special features. Does the Umbrella release have these too?

Sweet, was that just copied from the JB Hi-Fi listing, or from the disc?

From the disc I went and put it on besides if I cut and pasted I would've gotten the order wrong

Hey bloke. This is the same master as the US Media Blasters disc. There's a slight trim to one of the scenes

This would be a blind buy if I get it, so unless it's quite a jarring trim I probably wouldn't notice it, but i'll check up on it just in case. I despise censorship lol

I guess if it's the same master it's probably worth it.. a missing commentary track isn't that big of a deal these days to me.

I hate censorship too but the cut really does nothing to the overall film

After buying the local Blu-ray, I then bought the US Shriek Show 16:9 DVD to go with my Dutch Japan Shock PAL DVD release, and because it has the better framing and it includes the missing (though utterly inconsequential) footage.

The SS DVD does look OK up-scaled, and the framing isn't as tight as the Blu-ray. But the local Blu-ray is perfectly presentable.

I wouldn't have bought it if I'd known about the trim, but having never watched the film before, I didn't notice it. It's a pretty sloppy film all round anyway, and much tamer than I was expecting.
