Sony is giving this a general release in Europe next month with the exception of the UK.

Thank God Sony released Funny Girl themselves... can do without this at $35 though I'd consider it had been given a wide release.

unreal that TT got this one. I don't mind TT overall and have supported them wholeheartedly, but good grief.

Sony giving them TWWW is just sad.
very happy to finally get this film on bd though.
the wait has been epic.

I sure hope it's 4k restored.

It would be nice if Criterion released Tootsie and added the Audio Commentary by Sydney Pollack they had on the Laserdisc. But the Criterion snobs would balk about having it included in the collection.

So true. I miss the old Criterion from the laserdisc days when they released mainstream movies along with the foreign movies.

Wow. It's funny because I've been listening to the song a lot lately and thought about the film. Haven't see it in at least 10 years.

It's great to hear that it's being released and unfortunate it's going to be costly.
